THE HEART OF THE FESTIVAL – EXPERIENCE, ENJOY AND CREATE VISUAL ARTS
The Waikato Society of Arts will provide art activities to keep children occupied including face painting and “Plein Air” art which is observing artists in action. Huntly Wearable Arts will showcase a range of extraordinary wearable costumes. Jeremy Mayall will showcase his taste and sound confessional booth and a smell and sound Sculpture. Liam Halpin will display three mixed media pieces inspired by his trip through Arizona, USA. Doing Pennants will park their unique bicycle-powered sewing machines to sew up pennant flags right there on the spot. Free, family friendly and fun. The Trust Waikato Community Arts Hub is a place to meet, experience, enjoy and create visual arts. The Hub is located on the Round Lawn between the Garden’s Café, the Lakeside Stage and the Pavilion. All activities are free.
