BREATHTAKING NEW CIRCUS THAT’S ALSO A BREATH OF FRESH AIR. DIRECT FROM THE EDINBURGH FRINGE
Winner of the Original New Circus Award – 2015 Melbourne Fringe Festival / “A keen artistic sensibility…enchanting, entrancing and at times breath-holdingly, heart-stoppingly brilliant” – Peter Burdon, Adelaide Advertiser
Perhaps Hope explores the stark reality of climate change in a breathtakingly honest eco-apocalyptic circus show. Perhaps Hope is what circus should be. There are no gimmicks or anything to hide behind. The performers not only keep themselves exposed to our scrutiny, but also expose the cracks in our environment.
Set in a dystopian world of darkness and harsh, jarring music, the performers display movement of astounding strength and beauty, with a refreshing and strikingly unique performance.
This humorous, delicate and tension-filled work will leave you with a renewed optimism – and perhaps hope.
NB This is not a BYO food and beverages event. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
