THE AWARD WINNING CHARMINGLY LIGHT-HEARTED FABLE SET IN RURAL FRANCE IN 1959
“Chocolat is an often alluring package, good-looking and attractively wrapped”- BBC
Single mother Vianne Rocher and her six year old daughter move to rural France and open a chocolate shop across the street from the local church. They are met with skepticism and resistance. The townspeople are eventually won over by Vianne’s personality and chocolate, however the Mayor is determined to shut her down.
